Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bilva Naturals Ragi Flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup jaggery powder or brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ghee or butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, cashews) - optional

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. 2In a large bowl, mix ragi flour, whole wheat flour, cardamom powder, and salt.
  3. 3In another bowl, cream together the ghee and jaggery powder until well combined.
  4. 4Gradually add the dry ingredients to the ghee mixture, alternating with milk to form a soft dough.
  5. 5If using, fold in the chopped nuts.
  6. 6Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and shape them into round cookies.
  7. 7Place the cookies on the prepared baking tray, leaving some space between them.
  8. 8Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
  9. 9Allow the cookies to cool completely before serving.
